Marty's Theories A. Marty had a remarkable impact on Gustav Shpet’s philosophy of language. In his Untersuchungen zur Grundlegung der allgemeinen Grammatik und Sprachphilosophie (1908) Marty investigates in detail inner form of the word. Shpet considers Marty’s theory several time in his production, but especially the work Jazyk i smysl (1921–1925) is devoted to debate Marty’s view of the question.
