Résumés
De 1967 à 1974, des collectifs d’ouvriers-cinéastes appelés « groupes Medvedkine » se formèrent en France, dans le sillon des grèves de l’industrie textile et automobile de Besançon et de Sochaux, sous l’impulsion du cinéaste Chris Marker (1921-2012). Ces groupes représentèrent en France une expérience à la fois sociale et créatrice de cinéma militant, caractérisée par l’appropriation par les ouvriers eux-mêmes du processus de création des films au service d’une représentation autonome et réflexive de leurs luttes. Mais de quoi Medvedkine est-il le nom ? Il s’agit pour Marker de matérialiser un lien de filiation : celle qu’il souhaite établir entre le combat idéologique et militant du cinéaste soviétique Alexandre Medvedkine (1900-1989), dans les années 1920 et au début des années 1930 en URSS (incarnée par son « Ciné-train »), et celui des ouvriers français, dont le projet lui semble fondamentalement lié, puisque ceux-ci expriment dès la fin de l’année 1967 la volonté, comme Medvedkine y invitait ouvriers et paysans russes, de s’approprier le discours cinématographique qui les concerne.
From 1967 to 1974, collectives of worker-filmmakers called “Medvedkin groups” were formed in France in the wake of the strikes in the textile and automobile industries of Besançon and Sochaux, under the impetus of filmmaker Chris Marker (1921-2012). In France, these groups represented both a social and creative experiment in militant cinema, characterised by the workers’ own appropriation of the film-making process in the service of an autonomous and reflexive representation of their struggles. But what does Medkevkin stand for? For Marker, it was a question of materialising a filiation between the ideological and militant struggle of the Soviet filmmaker Aleksandr Medvedkin (1900-1989) in the 1920s and early 1930s in the USSR (embodied by his “film-train”), and that of the French workers. For him, these two struggles were fundamentally linked, since the French workers, from the end of 1967, expressed the will (as Medvedkin invited Russian workers and peasants to do) to appropriate the cinematographic discourse that concerned them. С 1967 по 1974 гг. во Франции во время забастовок в текстильной и автомобильной промышленности в городах Безансон и Сошо при посредничестве режиссера Криса Маркера (1921–2012) были созданы коллективы рабочих-кинорежиссёров под названием «киногруппы Медведкина». Во Франции эти группы представляли собой социальный и творческий эксперимент в области ангажированного кино, характеризующийся тем, что рабочие сами отвечали за процесс создания фильмов, призванных создавать автономную и рефлексивную репрезентацию их борьбы. Но что стоит за именем Медведкина? Для Маркера это вопрос материализации общих идей : он хотел установить связь между идеологической и социальной борьбой советского кинематографиста Александра Медведкина (1900–1989) в 1920-х и начале 1930-х гг. в СССР (олицетворяемой его «Кино-поездом») и французскими рабочими, проект которых казался Маркеру фундаментально связанным с ним. Рабочие Безансона и Сошо с конца 1967 г. стремились к овладению кинематографическим дискурсом о самих себе, по примеру того, к чему склонял советских рабочих и крестьян Медведкин.
